About me

I started my career as a sales assistant in an academic bookshop. Although I knew I wanted to work with copy for a living, this experience provided me with the vital interpersonal skills that one needs to succeed in the professional world.

I became a copy editor in 2011 and I have learnt a myriad of skills since then. I have learnt how to engage target audiences effectively to get clients’ messages out. This is made possible by my well-rounded technical skills in MSWord and compiling compelling copy.

A major milestone in my career was when I was asked to translate Medicinal plants in South Africa for Briza Publications into Afrikaans at the end of 2018. I feel that is when I came into my own as a translator.

When I am not making clients happy, I enjoy reading and spending time in the garden with my husband and daughter.
